4funbun: "As a long time friend and Dog Fight player, I've seen most of the ships in action at one time or another.

Ships tend to fall into two categories: Super-class ships, and Sub-class ships. These designations have nothing to do with the game's rules or ship quality. It's just convenient to think of the ships as either big, heavy battle ships versus small, fast gunboats or destroyer escort ships. The USS Intrepid is a super-class ship.

This ship has the inherent ability to move without using move cards. This will make your deck consice since you can reduce the number of move cards in your deck.

It also allows you to draw a card as well. Again, it's almost like having another tier, and compliments they style of play where you rely on large numbers of similar cards.

With an attack of six, it's not the most powerful, but you'd better not laugh at it either.

Movement range is average as the standard for most ships is two. I don't like using move cards, so average speed and the ability to move without using move cards really complement my style of play.

Target range is very good. Anything with six or above is excellent. Consider it a medium to long range ship.

Over all this is a very balanced Super-class capital ship. with green cards you can upgrade thing with into something fierce. Be careful about relying on upgrades to win though. As most players won't let to live long enough to upgrade everything."
