Description
It is the fall of 1943, and the Allied bombing campaign over Nazi-held Europe has intensified. The prevailing Allied strategy holds that long-range bombers can inflict heavy damage to German industries, thus curtailing Nazi war production and hasten the end of the war. However, the success of this campaign has yet to be proven. Players are assigned bomber and fighter groups and must plan a course of action that combines air power, technology, and tactics to turn the tide of the war.
The map of Europe is divided into hexagons on the game board. Both players are given several tiles representing different types of bombers, fighters, and anti-aircraft units. The Allied player begins in England and attempts to bomb German targets to win the game. For the Allied player, this means that a number of targets must be destroyed, thus limiting German supplies and helping to win the war. The German player’s objective is to prevent the destruction of vital factories, thus averting a loss in war production, and preventing defeat.
This game contains laser cut components. Laser cut items will have a slight amount of soot around the edges, which can easily be wiped off; and will have a campfire smell for about a week after you open them.
