The Hinted Tarot is a direct descendent of the magical universe of the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, but creates its own haunting atmosphere with mysterious sofly-shaded artwork in water-colour pencil.
Although based on the original images of RWS, the Hinted Tarot eliminates the most egregious sexism of some of Waite's designs, giving a more active role to female characters in many cases, and always avoiding blindfolds!
The reversible back design evokes a midnight forest, with half-hidden eyes peeping out behind screens of foliage.
