Description
A 32 card deck providing 4 unique photographs of the monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus) in each of the egg, caterpillar, chrysalis and adult life stages. There are 16 different cards in all, and each card appears twice in the deck.
Includes instruction cards for three games that are fun to play, and also reinforce the lifecycle stages.
In game 1, players take turns to collect lifecycle sets (egg, caterpillar, chrysalis, adult) by picking up a card from the deck, or by asking other players for a card that they need.
Game 2 is a memory game - with the cards placed face down and players turning over 4 cards each go, as they attempt to find a lifecycle set.
Game 3 is similar, except that players are looking to collect pairs of cards that exactly match. For example, not just two caterpillars or two images of an egg, but two images of the same caterpillar or egg.
