Starvation the game

Starvation: The game where death is just a season away!

Description

Part random, part skill. Starvation the game will test your reactions to chance cards while trying to survive at the most basic level, having enough food to make it to the next year.

You are a meeple on a plot of land surrounded by the forest. Your goal is to build a fire pit, outhouse, shelter and various ways to gather food so you can be successful in survival. Some of the objects you build will give you modifies and other advantages in the game, and a slight edge over your fellow players.

Another way to win is to simply outlast your fellow players and be the last to starve to death.

You need to keep enough food to play Player Choice cards from your hand as well as enough per member of your plot to proceed to the next year. While this sounds like a simple task, it is actually governed by factors out of your hands called Chance Cards which are played seasonally (as well as a dice roll occasionally). These cards might cause your shelter to burn down or your livestock to flee; or they may work in your favor, such as finding raw food or even nothing happening at all (which will seem like a relief in the game)!

Players will have to make decisions based on not knowing what might happen next. While this game may be a bit difficult, it does offer lots of humorous moments for you to enjoy.
