It's not easy being a dungeon. Especially since those grubby overworlders started some stupid crusade to pilfer every last gem and ore from your beautiful depths after you've spent millennia cultivating them. Well, you may have been carved from the earth at night, but it sure as heck wasn't last night. Everyone knows that treasures kept by dungeons hold mystical and dangerous powers; that's probably why those invaders want them. Well, it's time to fight fire with fire. Who knows... maybe with a little "convincing" that adventuring party is willing to make a donation or two to your fine collection. One thing's for sure, they picked the wrong sentient cavern to mess with!

I, Dungeon is a solitaire "anti-adventure" strategy game where you assume the role of a dungeon attempting to keep your treasure safe from invading heroes.

Gameplay Features:

  • Modular boards allow 32 different starting configurations for the Dungeon--never play the same layout twice! (Until you play 33 times)
  • Five different Rooms, each with different functions and capabilities. Traps severely damage one Hero, Curses weaken their strength, Lairs house Thralls that attack the Heroes from afar, Foils confuse the Heroes and increase your Influence, and Gardens grow more treasure if they remain undisturbed.
  • Strategic Planning--Carefully construct your Dungeon, placing Treasure in your Rooms to activate their different abilities, allowing countless ways to configure your Dungeon to maximize your growth and security.
  • Tactical Hand-Management--Play cards to mitigate luck and boost the abilities of your Rooms to their maximum efficiency, or alter the Heroes' actions to put them in less than favorable conditions.
  • Tough Decision Making--The Heroes aren't fearless. Hurt them enough, or strike one of them dead, and they will make a break for the surface! You will have to carefully consider when to scare them away to minimize your losses, or lull them into a false sense of security and make certain they never leave with your treasure! Of course, never having any survivors will only bring more trouble your way...
