Mage Brawl

Over a thousand ways to play. Which will be your favorite?

Description

You and the other mages are having a duel to see whose style of magic is superior.

Your deck is your stash of magical gear: potions, wands, scrolls, etc. You will be trying to hit your opponents’ decks, forcing them to discard cards. When a player’s deck is empty they are out of the game. Last player left in the game wins.

GAME PLAY:

In your turn you will either play a card or you will refresh your hand, drawing new cards. Pretty simple.

But what to do? Do you attack now while your opponent’s defenses are down or do you work on building up your own defenses? Or do you choose not to play a card so that you can draw fresh cards into your hand? Choose wisely.

GAME STYLE:

Mage Brawl can be played in two very different ways. In the Standard Game, players take turns. Game play is simple, so turns proceed fairly quickly. But still, the game is turn-based so you can take your time figuring out what you want to do.

And then there’s the Brawl. While cards work the same way in a Brawl, there are no turns. Everyone is playing cards as fast as they can, calling out over each other to announce their attacks and defenses. It is fast-paced and chaotic.

GAME CONTENTS:

  • 4 Decks, Each With 54 Cards
  • 16 Markers
  • 6-Sided Die
  • 3-Sided Die

WHAT IS ART-FREE GAMES?

We believe that artwork is great, and makes a game pretty. But ultimately whether you love a game or hate it will be based on how fun it is to play.

Games are about sitting down with friends and family--but probably not Julien (he is always late for everything, making everyone else wait, yet in a card game he keeps telling you to hurry up and play because his time is valuable)--and having fun.

And so Art-Free Games was born. Our goal is to make enjoyable games that prove you don't need art to have fun.

In the end, it's all about the game.
