New Website For Promoting Your Indie Game
Hello, my name is Bryan Koch. You might have seen me in the chat room before. I recently purchased a domain name which I, along with a few of my TGC friends, have used to make an easy to remember address that points to my game. The website is myindiegame.info [myindiegame.info] and each game listed there has its own subdomain in the format GameName.MyIndieGame.info. Since the site has a blog format, everything on it is tag-searchable. If you are looking for a two player game, you can just search for the tag "2player" and every two player game comes up in a list. Here's where you come in: Anyone who comes to the site looking for one game will be able to easily find all of the other games that are listed on there. When I tell people to visit the site, they might decide they don't like my game, but then see yours and make a purchase. When you want someone to go to the site and see your game before any of the others, you just tell them the unique subdomain that I provide for each entry. I'm not charging anything for this, and I don't stand to make any money from it unless the extra traffic gets someone interested enough to buy my game. I'm just doing it because I really like the majority of the people I get to chat with here. Please check out MyIndieGame.info, and if you like what you see and want to be a part of it, submit your game at Submit.MyIndieGame.info. Your game can be at any stage of development, and does not need to be exclusively a TGC made game. If you are still working on the game, be sure to include the WIP (work in progress) tag when tagging it. Also, please be aware that games with certain subject matters will not be approved based on the image I would like the site to have; if your game looks like it belongs in a porn shop it will not be listed.
