Hello community!
We have some fun new things to talk about this month. Also, we can't give away any spoilers, but our team has been busy working on a couple of new breakthrough features. These are major improvements that will give designers tons of flexibility and greatly expand the capabilities of print on demand game manufacturing. Prepare yourselves!

Euro Square Cards
Say hello to our Euro Square Cards. They measure 70mm x 70mm and are a great choice for games that require laying out cards in a grid. Your custom artwork is printed on both sides of our amazing 305gsm black-core card stock. And if you really want to impress people, be sure to get the UV coating and/or linen finish.

Ring Punchouts
We’re pleased to announce our new Ring Punchouts. They are made of 60pt chipboard and both sides are printed with your custom artwork. 3 sizes are available: Small (.75" diameter), Medium (1" diameter), and Large (1.25" diameter). These are great for making upgradable tokens and they're compatible with the Bullseye Chit and all of the Circle Chits.

Gen Con 2016

Gen Con is always our biggest event and this year we're going to be all over it! Here's what we're doing at Gen Con:
Exhibit Hall (Booth #2455) - We will have our regular 20' x 10' booth on the exhibitor floor with our community mascot, Cog, who's an 8ft tall steam-powered robot. Come visit us to see sample products, meet our team, and learn more about our products/services.
First Exposure Playtest Hall (FEPH) - The FEPH allows designers and publishers to preview and test their creations before they go live. This includes prototypes for RPGs, board games, and card games. The Game Crafter will have 2 tables inside the FEPH. One table with sample products on display and the other with a nice assortment of free prototyping components for designers. TGC staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide design advice.
TGC Community Game Night - Every year we like to host a game night for our community. Everyone brings the games that they're working on and we all get to enjoy them. This will be an official Gen Con event so a ticket will be required. Click the link above to learn more.
TGC Community Social - There's a lot of gaming at Gen Con and so it's nice to take a break and enjoy some food and drinks with your fellow TGC community members. This event is all about hanging out, relaxing, and meeting some new people in the community!
BGDF Showdown - Every month BGDF.com runs a Game Design Showdown. Now they think it's time to run this contest at Gen Con 2016 in real-time! Designers will have to take a game from concept to prototype in a matter of hours. The judges for the event are Matt Worden, Seth Jaffee, and JT Smith. Winners will gain glory and some game-related prizes. The Game Crafter is sponsoring this event and providing $50 in gift certificates to the winner. (We'll have something for participants too) Click here to get all of the event details and register.
The Captain Is Dead Demos - The co-designer of The Captain Is Dead, JT Smith, has scheduled events at Gen Con for people to play the base game, Episode 2, and Episode 3. There are limited tickets available and you can purchase them in the official Gen Con events catalog. You can click here to access the events catalog and you'll just need to scroll down and click on the bar that says "Event titles starting with C". Then it will expand and show you the events for The Captain Is Dead.

Community Updates
We just posted 2 new Auctions for Gen Con 2016 and the winners will join us as Featured Designers at our Gen Con booth!
Several designers in our community have begun creating free artwork that you can use in your game. We have created a new section for this on our Art Resources page called "Free Art (Created by The Game Crafter Community)". Check it out!
Congratulations to Andrew Smith and Alisha Volkman for being inducted to The Game Crafter Hall of Fame. Andrew's game, Honeywars, won the Gamehole Board Game Challenge in 2015 and Alisha's game, Underlings of Underwing, won the Learning Game Challenge earlier this year.

That's all we've got for June. See you in July!
