Pixel art tutorial for the Classic Arcade Challenge.
I made this for my fellow game crafters just in time for the classic arcade challenge. I have to apologize for the small air conditioner hum and my pauses between thoughts. The resolution isn't great but this is my first tutorial. Somehow in the encoding some resolution was lost... I'll try and re-upload a better version this week, but I figured since time is of importance I should post this as soon as possible!
This tutorial will teach you:
- how to make a photoshop file for pixel art
- how to use the pencil tool
- how to make a basic shape and shade it very easily using overlay layers
- how to make gradients
- how to enlarge the image.
If you're a photoshop wizard and I did something inefficiently please be polite and feel free to comment on how to do it better.
