An Easy going yet mind binding challenge of Elements
Harness the power of elements, numbers, and strategically navigate the board with up to 4 opponets. Use the elements of Leaf, Ember, and Dew to trump opponents, complete patterns, and be victorious. And no two games are the same.
Choose one of six pattern sets, each of increasing difficuty, or role the die and let fate decide.
Draw forth the elements into your hand every turn. Which cards are now in your power? Which one will you play? What cards shall you draw next?
Command the board by trumping stronger elements over weaker elements, higher numbers over lower numbers. Play on top of opponent cards or even on top your own. Play your cards right to block opponents and set up your victory.
BE THE FIRST TO FORM THE PATTERN AND WIN!
Basics:
Players: Lem-Tori can support 2 to 4 players
Cards: There are 60 cards in Lem-Tori (20 for each element). On each card are there three key components; an element, a number value, and a player arrow.
Player Arrow: Arrow at the top of the card pointing in the direction of the respective player indicating ownership.
Values: Number values on the cards range from 0-9. Equal to and higher numbers beat lower numbers with a special rule for 0 (see Card Placing).
Elements: There are three elements in Lem-Tori. Three of these elements share a rock/paper/scissor relationship in which each element is strong against one but also weak against the other.
Leaf(Green): strong against Dew, weak to Ember.
Ember(Red): strong against Leaf, weak to Dew.
Dew(Blue): strong against Ember, weak to Leaf
Setup and Gameplay: Setup: General setup of the game requires the following
-The board being set in middle of all players
-The card deck shuffled and set on the "draw" space on the board.
-Each player draws up to 4 cards at the start of the game.
Turns: Each player’s turn consists of doing two phases: Placing a card on the board and Drawing a new card from the deck (in that order) while trying to meet the set condition
Card Placing: -Players can place any card in an open slot on the board
-Players can also place on top of an opponent’s card or their own
-To place on top a placed card players must have a card of a stronger element or if of the same element, an equal to or higher number value.
-Cards with a value of 0 can be used to beat cards with a value of 9 by being placed on top. Even so, cards with a value of 1-9 can still be placed on top a 0 card.
-Each space can only have up to three cards stacked on it. A fourth card can be placed on top to clear out the other three and send them to the discard pile off to the side. The Fourth card will remain in the space.
Chosen Sets: Chosen Sets are patterns of Elements or Values players need to make when placing a row of 3 cards (horizontally, vertically, and diagonally) to win.
