Mint Privateers

Mint Privateers is a 1-2 Player Cooperative Sandbox Game

Engage in maritime warfare, deliver goods, and rid the sea of pirates. Or become a pirate and plunder the riches for yourself. In Mint Privateers, players must earn enough fame to win.

Players can earn fame by sailing around the Caribbean to capture or sink ships, raid merchants, deliver in demand goods, buy ships, deposit gold at their home port, or complete objectives on story cards. In order to perform these actions, players will need to assign their crew dice properly (dice placement). It is also important to upgrade your ship or complete scuttlebutt cards which reward you with game changing effects.

The game consists of 16 rounds for which there are 3 phases per round:

1. Event Resolution - Spawn and move NPC ships
2. Planning - Assign your crew dice
3. Player Action - Sail and perform a player action

Different Experience When You Play

No two games will be the same. During event resolution, events are resolved using 2 cards originated from a shuffled deck to dictate what happens on that turn of the game. The map setup, story cards (objectives), upgrade tokens, merchant ships, in demand goods, and scuttlebutt cards are all randomized during game setup.

The nature of Mint Privateers being a sandbox game allows players to play the way they want to. Players can play like a merchant by dodging pirate ships and delivering goods to ports that need them. Or players can play more like a pirate and attack nation ships and merchant tokens. Or perhaps players start off playing like a merchant and turn to piracy midgame. Players even have opportunities to be pardoned for their crimes of piracy to return to a merchant lifestyle of play.

Players must increase their wealth, upgrade their abilities, trade or produce goods, complete contracts, and compete for land in this engine-building strategy game.

Mint Rails

Players take turns buying stock and collectively operating railway companies to earn the most dividends.

This game has a competitive collective feel, where players share the companies when laying track to get to cities they want funds in. Players will need to plan when to buy stocks at certain times or even be force to overpay for it just to get the stock they want.
