Oh Shiitake!

You're a mushroom forager racing against your competition to find and complete 3 mushroom lifecycles. To do so, you will need to outsmart, outwit, and most importantly, outforage your competition.

HOW TO WIN

Be the first to lay down 3 complete lifecycles. A lifecycle is all four stages of one species: Spore, Hyphae, Mycelium and Fruiting Body. There are six real species you can find, plus a Wild Card that can stand in for any stage of any species.

HOW A TURN WORKS

Draw 2 cards, then make up to 3 moves: play an action card, stash a card in your nutrient shield, lay down a completed lifecycle, or metabolize: swap a card from your shield back into your hand.

EVERY CARD IS ALSO MONEY

Cards in your nutrient shield are your bank. When an action card makes you pay, you pay from your shield first, at each card's printed value. Cards paid from your hand are worth only half. Run out of both and you're out of the game.

Nothing is safe until someone wins.
