Huzzah! The jolly old King is holding a grand royal banquet to celebrate the recovery of the Golden Grail. Yet foul plots are afoot! The power-hungry Queen conspires with the shady Chancellor, hiring an Assassin to poison the King!

“A Toast, To The King” is a social deduction game of bluffing and action selection. Players are assigned a character role and some private knowledge. Some may wish to help the King, while others seek to poison him—all in an effort to score the highest points. Players choose actions to manipulate the cups on the table, aiming to place them in the most desirable spots by the end of the round. While it may sound easy, whether to trust your fellow players is the true challenge.

Brief Game Play Description

• Each player receives a secret Character and Cup card (unless you are the King).
• A role call is performed to give certain Characters additional information (for example, the Assassin knows where the Poisoned Cup is).
• On their turn, each player chooses a Decree Action, which may provide more information or allow them to move the cup cards around.
• Players should do their best to manipulate cup passing, as well as influence other players' action choices, to position the cups favorably.
• Each Character scores differently based on which cup they receive—and which cups others receive—at the end of the round.
• Track the score, pass the King card, and play another round till everyone has a chance to be the King once.
