Description
They walk among the smogfields, timeless creations of brass and steel. Though their purpose is long forgotten, their arcane furnaces still burn, and their presence means Old London is no long a bastion of humanity, but a wasteland wandered by relics of ages past. Who will take it upon themselves to partake in the ultimate sport, that of hunting these colossal abominations?
In the Behemoth game, up to four players co-operatively control a team of Behemoth Hunters as they set out into the Smogfields of Old London to battle the gargantuan clockwerk constructs that stalk the wastes: the Behemoths! Starting with easy fodder like the murderous prankster, FOOL, soon you’ll be moving onto clockwerk colossi like the world-shaking TOWER and the indomitable STRENGTH. Defeating each foe earns you new equipment to use in your battles, and the right to face more deadly foes. Ultimately, if you think your team has what it takes to survive, you might earn an attempt to engage the pinnacle of arcane engineering, the most deadly Behemoth in existence and the root of all things: the WORLD itself.
During a game of Behemoth, a party of four Behemoth Hunters, represented by player class cards, set out to defeat the series of randomly-determined Behemoth cards that make up the Behemoth Stack. The game ends in victory if the party can defeat the final Behemoth card in the stack, usually XXI: THE WORLD, but ends in defeat if all four members of the party are ever slain at once or if a condition on a boss card states the party loses the game.

This co-operative game was conceived, designed and fully produced by two people within two months for the Game Crafter RPG Contest. As a result, the game is officially in its beta stage of production, and testing is still ongoing, but even after official release we will be happy to provide errata, rules changes and FAQs as necessary and pledge to continue supporting the game, with further expansions if the demand exists.
This game contains laser cut components. Laser cut items will have a slight amount of soot around the edges, which can easily be wiped off; and will have a campfire smell for about a week after you open them.
