A blanket of snow sets the stage for the annual Blizzard Blitz. Grab your best snowball-crafting mittens and slickest saucers, and prepare for the race of the season. This is no snow angel contest, so try to stay on your feet as you dodge snowballs and sleds. Face off against friend or foe, and try not to crack under the pressure of this icy battle. Who will emerge victorious? Who will end up face-down in the snow? The only thing more bitter than the cold will be the bitterness of defeat.

Each turn you must decide if it’s more important to slow your opponent or advance yourself. The game has a balanced approach to prevent a player from immediately running away with victory, but also has a bit of chance that could give your opponent an edge.

Make sure to grab snowballs to throw at your opponent, and launch some sleds at them for good measure. Do whatever you can to knock them over and get yourself to the finish line first!

GETTING STARTED

Each player sets up 8 snowballs (cubes) in their "Snowball Pile" and 6 sleds (discs). Stand your 4 fearless meeples at the ready, and roll to see who goes first.

GAMEPLAY

On your turn, choose an action for each of your meeples. Grab and throw snowballs, launch sleds, and dive out of the way of opposing snowballs, all while trying to reach the center finish line. Beware that power moves take a meeple's full strength and knock them off their feet, leaving them more vulnerable to hits and slowing their progress.

EXAMPLES OF PLAY

Player 1 (blue) has three of her meeples take the Start action and places them on her Starting Row. They bravely ready themselves for battle. The fourth meeple takes the Grab action, remaining out of the fray and instead taking a snowball from the "Snowball Pile". This snowball is now available to be Thrown.

Player 2 (white) has two of his meeples take the Start action. They icily stare down their opponents. The other two meeples take the Grab action.

With supermeeple strength, one meeple Launches a sled, but the effort required knocks it off its feet. Another meeple falls to the ground and begins to Gather snowballs frantically. (To find out how many snowballs her meeple succeeded in Gathering, Player 1 rolls her dice and divides the result by 2, adding this many snowballs to her Snowball spots).

At the end of her turn, Player 1's launched sled slides forward three squares, striking fear in the heart of the opposing meeple.

WINNING

The first player to have one of their heroic meeples reach the finish line wins.
