ChemiProject is a fast-paced chemistry card game that blends science with creativity and tactical thinking. Whether you're a curious mind, a puzzle solver, or just love smart games, this is for you.
You’ll learn without even realizing it. Your only purpose will be to win! And then, you’ll start to become familiar with some advanced concepts naturally!
Chemiproject Mini is the simplest and most affordable version of the game. It offers at least three quick but fun modes that let you enjoy chemistry in a way you’ve never experienced before. It’s based on 36 micro cards, each representing a single molecule. Every game is different since all the cards are randomly selected from about 130 different molecules. The goal is to identify and differentiate specific parts of the cards that determine their chemical properties!
The game’s core mechanic is simple yet clever: link cards by matching their colors, each representing parts of molecules that make it possible to bond some with others! These parts are called functional groups — it’s molecular logic made fun.
Although it can be played solo, it’s always more fun with friends. The game supports 1–4 players, and each match is very quick, lasting about 5–15 minutes.
The simplest version helps you become familiar with functional groups. You simply need to place a card from your hand that matches a functional group (or color) with the previous card played. As you get closer to winning, it becomes harder to find cards with the target color or functional group. You must discover what cards the other players have based on how they play, and try to keep the right molecules with you! In the following video, you’ll be able to see a full game in action!
In the intermediate version, we also consider what those molecules are used for, and some functional groups gain special importance. This adds a strategic layer where you can make your opponents draw extra cards — giving you more chances to win! Action video — Here!
Finally, in the third version, you step into the world of real organic chemistry. Matching molecules by functional groups is no longer enough — now you must use the reaction diagram on the back of the cards to combine molecules like in actual chemistry! Video on progress...
The inside of the box contains the instructions and 36 micro cards, including 2 catalyst cards (jokers) and the rest as molecule cards. Each molecule card has a diagram on the back, which is used in the most advanced and challenging version of the game!
Additionally, you can find a downloadable file on The Game Crafter, featuring extra versions and gameplay strategies.
