Description

Covid 19: A Race to the Vaccine is something a whole family can engage in while everyone is stuck in the house. Make your way around COVID infested areas, steer clear of lockdowns, and be the first to get all the pawns in your family vaccinated! This game can bring back the competitive spirit everyone has been lacking in these tough times while everyone is quaranTEENed! Ready to play?!

Basic Game Rules:

Each player has a family of four pawns that begins inside their home. The goal is to get all four colored pawns through their designated entrance halfway around the board to reach the vaccine. Pawns can move in either direction around the board and must cross paths with their opponents. Collect risk cards by landing on pink spaces to sabotage other players by locking down streets to make it harder for them to reach their entrance to the vaccine. But watch out, players can catch COVID from risk cards too! Once players catch the virus, they roll the dice, and if they land on an occupied space, they infect all players on the space, and they both must return home to quarantine. The first family to bring all four pawns to the vaccine wins!

Frequently Asked Questions:

(feel free to email me with more)

1. Are you allowed to use a move card and a dice roll for the same pawn?

Yes, however, the moves may not be combined.

ex) If the player rolls a four, and has a move six card, they may apply them to the same pawn, but as separate moves on the same turn. The pawn would first move four spaces, and then move six spaces, or vise versa. However, the pawn could not move ten (four plus six) spaces all at once and must face the consequence of both moves. This means if the player moves four spaces first and lands on a pink space, they must collect a risk card before moving their next six spaces.

2. What is the intended age group?

This game targets all age groups. For children under the age of 5, I would say that there should be parental guidance due to small pieces which are potential choking hazards. Moreover, the instructions are relatively detailed but once explained they can be easily understood. There is no age maximum. With over 71 copies purchased, I have received reviews from many families, of all age groups.
