A scalable critical fail / fumble deck for D&D 5E role-playing game. Offers different ways to use depending on how “swingy” you want to play.
Designer Notes: My players and I love the extra depth of chaos that critical fail can add to a game. But I found that fumbling (pun intended) through charts and rolling then possible re-rolling for location etc. etc. slowing our game.
I wanted something flexible and quick to use.
I believe these cards can be very flexible to use. I don’t use a lot of description because I don’t know what the combat scenario is going to be
These can be used many different ways. You can assign Tier I, Tier II etc. depending on the characters levels or Roll d12 regardless of level or a roll d10. Whatever works for your game. Clarifications: -d20 means disadvantage and +d20 means advantage
