The F.A.S. Intrepid was commissioned by the Free Africa Union in 2079. It was completed in 2084, one year before the Great Cleansing.
The Intrepid was designed with the latest in heavy assault technology available at the time as well as enhanced maneuvering capabilities.
The Intrepid class is the mainstay of any fleet in the solar system. It is the standard by which all other combat vessels are measured.
Originally designed with a Colossus Cannon (which not all Intrepids possess), this massive weapon has been used to devastating effect even when only partially charged. The infamous heavy guns of this ship are so renowned even civilian populations are familiar with the stories. Opponents have no doubt their lives are on the line when faced against this colossal foe.
