Dreamland RPG Word Cards (Beta Version)

There is another world beyond our perceptions, a world which few people know. Beyond time and space is the Dreamlands, an infinite world of wonder and terror, formed from dreams and hopes of humanity when the world’s first great cities started to form. You are a dreamer, one of the gifted few who can travel to Dreamland with consciousness intact.

Dreamland is a portal fantasy roleplaying game inspired by the stories of Lord Dunsany, H.P. Lovecraft, Kij Johnson and Michael Ende. Drawing from sources like Labyrinth, The Neverending Story, Through the Garden Wall, Marco Polo and the isekai genre, Dreamland takes you through the gateway to a world of symbolism, wonder and horror.

Dreamland uses a unique game system with 300 Word Cards inspired by the writings of Lord Dunsany. By telling stories and making flowery speeches with these cards, dreamers create marvels and perform outstanding feats. As of May 2023, these Beta cards are now available in POD for so you can playtest Dreamland in-person using the Beta Quickstart Rules on dreamrpg.com.
