HALL of the DWARF KING

Hall of the Dwarf King is a hybrid board/video game made to work as a standalone boxset or with the Playdate handheld system.

There are 3 modes of Play:

• Videogame play on the Playdate
• Using the Playdate game and Board pieces from this boxset
• NEW - Run a game yourself with the standalone DM-mode described in the Player's Handbook!

The game is inspired by vintage VHS games from the '80s/'90s which encouraged co-op play while handling complex systems for the players. In the same way, the Playdate game can be used to run a light D&D-style series of encounters focused on survival for your next game night.

However with this boxset, we have fully described the systems the Playdate handles for a player to step in and run a game in DM-mode! These systems are designed to be minimally complex. There is no health to track, only hits and survival. All attack and skill rolls are based on a single D6. The game board, creature cards and spell tiles add a tactility to gameplay without diving into character sheets and intense statistical calculations.
