Description

In Herdle, players draft animals from a communal watering hole and release them into the wild to build growing herds across a living savanna. Score points immediately by placing shapes and matching habitats. Claim control of herds to score big at the end of the game. Expand wisely, merge strategically, and watch for predators circling nearby.

Setup:

1. Choose 4 game board tiles, place all the animal tokens into the bag and draw out the set amount of tokens onto the watering hole.
2. Each player draws 3 shape cards

Game play:

Players take turns

1. Drafting species from the watering hole into their pen.
2. Matching species to their shape cards and playing the species to the board in the same shapes.
3. Place rangers on herds to control scoring by that herd as it expands

Scoring:

Players score immediately when placing species on the board and by matching species with their habitats.

Players score at the end of the game for predator placements, size of their herds, and adjacency to water.
