Introduction

After the perfect Disco night, it's time to do the laundry and get all that sweat washed out.

But first you have to put up the clothesline so you have enough space to hang your disco outfit out to dry.

Today is Laundry Day, where you will put your colorful outfit to dry, trying to match the colors of your crazy 70s outfit together. The disco sounds still echoing in your head.

How it's played

In this 2 player game, each of you have a map. The black squares are your posts or points to where you connect your clothesline. You determine where to put up your lines, as long as each post is connected via the clotheslines to exactly 2 other posts.

Shapes to fit on the map

Then in each turn, by throwing a D8, it shows which piece of clothing you take out of the washing machine to dry.

There are 7 different shapes to match;

The rules

The rules are simple:

  • You can flip and rotate each shape as many times as you wish

  • At least 1 square of the shape shall be crossed by a line (multiple squares of the shape crossed by the same or other lines is also fine)

  • A shape cannot overlap a post

  • A shape cannot overlap an already drawn and colored shape of previous turns

  • A shape shall be placed fully within the map

Color the shapes

After the shape is known and the outline drawn on the map, 1 after the other, players pick a colored cube. When starting you can choose from 8 cubes that are randomly taken from the bag filled with 24 colored cubes, 4 of each color. When the table is empty, again 8 random cubes are taken out of the bag. As soon as a player has chosen a cube, both players fill 1 square in their drawn shape with the color matching that cube. The cube is then returned to the bag. This continuous until the shape is fully colored.

The other player now throws the D8 and the sequence repeats until 1 (or both) players can no longer legally draw a shape on the map.

Be aware: When you throw an 8, you draw and color the shape on the map of your opponent! Following the same rules. The White Meeple is used to determine which shape of clothing shall be drawn.

Scoring

Adjacent colored squares of similar color score points. The more and bigger these areas the more points you score. Most points wins the game!
