President Lincoln is on the train to Gettysburg when the conductor’s kitty knocks his speech on the floor! Now, you (the player) have to get the Gettysburg Address back in proper order before the train stops, the game ends, and President Lincoln must give his speech! Good luck!
Lincoln’s Cat is a 36-card in-hand solitaire game featuring the Gettysburg Address. Lincoln’s Cat is played over the course of 8 Rounds. Your goal is to get the Gettysburg Address back in order (from 1-35) before the end of the 8th Round.

As we mark America’s 250th birthday, we must remember the past as we celebrate the present and look ahead to our future. The Civil War was a dark chapter in American history, but we came out of it together, stronger, and more united. Abraham Lincoln delivered the speech that history would remember as the Gettysburg Address on November 19, 1863 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The version of the Gettysburg Address used in this game is adapted from the Bliss Copy of that speech. Players are encouraged to look into the history and the stories surrounding the Gettysburg Address that helped inspire this game. Notably the story of President Lincoln writing the speech on the train to Gettysburg… The story is likely fiction and there’s certainly no mention of any cat, but it’s fun to think about.
Lincoln’s Cat is my fourth Cat Companion Card Game, but is the first to be published. Composer’s Cat started this journey in 2024, was followed by Librarian’s Cat (2025), and then Monk’s Cat: The Book of [Pawprints] (2026). I would like to thank everyone that has playtested, proofread, and given feedback, advice, or encouragement on any of these games. Without them and without all of you, Lincoln’s Cat, the simplest and most streamlined of them all, wouldn’t exist. Thank you!
