The object of Null is to bid, take tricks, and have the most points by the end of the game. However, not all bids are created equal. A zero bid will net you 20 points, whereas any other bid will get you 10 (plus 1 for each trick) points. Lastly, an All bid will let you rake in 30 (plus 1 for each trick).
It's not always easy to make your bid, because each hand a random trump color is assigned, which can make even the prettiest hand turn ugly really quickly, or vice versa.
