Deep in the wild gardens lived a tribe of four trolls... Kokooja, Raaka, Patriisi, and Vanhin. Late one summer night, Kokooja had just left the burrow when he heard a peculiar sound. Upon investigation a mysterious troll was twisted in the bramble. She was a beautiful female and he fell in love at first sight. After spluttering awkwardly for a moment, he called for his friends and together they parted the thorns.
Her name was Tanssija. The group welcomed her to the safety of their underground home. Patriisi began to cook and struck up something like a conversation. His signature stink cakes were sure to impress. Tanssija told her story. One night ago she had been the captive performer of a traveling carnival nearby. During the finale a pyrotechnics mishap gave way to catastrophe, breaking her chains and allowing her escape into the gardens...
She was a dancer, very graceful for a troll, but did not know the wild. Suddenly she burst into a raucous expression of freedom. Raaka did not understand dance, but followed by spinning around forcefully. He did not understand love, but felt a bit dizzy. By sunrise each brother was mesmerized, and Tanssija delighted in their antics. Next evening the race was on. Vanhin took the lead making sure he smelt foul before setting out early. Would his old-school tricks be enough? How would the game go down?
All in good fun.

In Peikko, each player is a troll competing for the affections of Tanssija.
Points are gained by collecting food, marking domain, and defeating monsters.
Variable Setup --- Arrange a different board on every play!
Set Collection --- Forage ingredients to make your favorite meals!
Area Control --- Mark your territory! What is a troll without his domain?
Press Your Luck --- Feeling lucky? Pick fights with monsters!
Take That --- Feeling devious? Steal from your friends or block their paths!
Strategy --- Each move counts. How will you advance?
