The battlefield quakes under the thundering hooves of the heavy French cavalry. The oceanic steppes are awash with the arrows of the swift Golden Horde. These two countervailing forces form the backbone of the "Thunder and Lightning" deck that will overwhelm and overrun your opponent.
This 70-card deck comes with all of the cards you need to do battle against an opponent, including Champions (2 of which are rares), Squires, Coins, and a variety of Effect cards (2 of which are rares).
Sceptre is the trading card game for the Middle Ages. To collect all five "Blood Cards", build a deck with Champions from eight different Origins, including the Kingdom of France, The Byzantine Empire, the Kamakura Shogunate, the Knights Templar, the Kingdom of England, the Golden Horde, the Great Heathen Army, and the Seljuk Sultanate.
Equip your Champions with weapons, armor, and "states of mind". Complement them with Squires that boost their Speed, Skill, and provide other passive buffs.
Use Action cards and Trap cards to aid your Champion and frustrate your opponent, or utilize powerful Exterior cards to dominate the arena.
Sceptre draws inspiration from medieval history, legends, religion, and folklore. You'll find everything from the "Plague" to the Sultan's "Harem", the wounds of the "Stigmata" to "William the Conqueror's Corpse".
Sceptre is turn-based action with robust mechanics that complement skilled players, while still allowing you to claw your way back for epic come-from-behind victories. Its art and lore will amuse the medieval history aficionado. It incorporates the whimsical and mysterious, but is not for the faint of heart. It's one game with one-thousand years of history.
