Description

SIGNUM, A Tactical Game of Signed Numbers, Strategy, and Capture Signum is a fast, strategic card game inspired by the classic capture game Casino — but rebuilt from the ground up with colorful suits, tidy visuals, and a clever twist: positive and negative integers. The result is a classic game that feels completely new. What Makes Signum Different. Signum keeps the satisfying “capture-the-table” tension of Casino, but adds: • Six vibrant suits and 120 custom cards. Ninety numbered cards from negative 5 to positive 9, plus thirty Gold, Silver, and Bronze cards that shape scoring and strategy. • Five distinct ways to capture: Match, Build, Stack, Add, or Steal — each offering its own tactical rhythm. • Signed numbers that deepen the gameplay. You don’t need to know signed numbers to play. But once they’re in the deck, the game becomes richer, more surprising, and more universally relevant — especially for players beginning to understand negative values. • A signature rule: “Signum!” If a player misses a capture, anyone can call Signum! and take it instead. It keeps the table sharp, interactive, and alive. • Solo, partner, or team play. Works beautifully with 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 players. How It Plays. On your turn, play one card to the table. If you can capture, you must choose how: Match a number directly. Combine cards to equal a number in your hand. Build toward a future capture. Stack over multiple turns. Add to another player’s build (if you can finish it). Steal a build outright by holding its target number. Every decision reshapes the table. Why People Love It. Signum hits the sweet spot between classic card game intuition and modern tactical depth: Easy to teach. Fast to play. Deeply replayable. Competitive without being chaotic. Familiar enough for families. Strategic enough for gamers. And the signed numbers give it a subtle educational bonus — not as a teaching tool but as a natural way to make the game more meaningful and globally valuable. Winning. Score points by capturing cards and collecting the most Gold, Silver, Bronze, and negative cards. First player or team to 500 points wins.
