Some say it’s the fountain -- the flow of water that enables thoughts to pass from our world to theirs. Some say it’s enchanted or magical. Maybe it is and maybe it isn’t. All I know is that in this cemetery alone have I been successful in communication. And more than communication! I have seen them! I don’t know a lot about this place, but I do know one thing. Spellpath is a deduction-based hidden movement game for 2 to 7 players. The game is played in a cemetery made up of tombstones with letters on them.

One player is the Ghost trying to hide from the the rest of the players who are Ghost Hunters. To move about the cemetery, players form words with the tombstones.

With the help of a Spirit Board, these words can compel the Ghost to communicate and just maybe reveal where they are.


Play in the Cemetery

The board is made of 13 tombstone tiles (with 7 tombstones each) and one fountain tile. The tombstone tiles are two sided with blank "wildcard" tombstones found on one side. You can adjust the difficulty of the game by controlling the number of wildcards.


Move by Forming Spellpaths

Spellpaths can meander and even hit tombstones more than once. Longer words will move you farther and perhaps more importantly, do more to help you find the Ghost.


Communicate with the Ghost on the Spirit Board

Ghost Hunters communicate with the Ghost using the words they formed in their spellpaths. If letters in their word match the Ghost's word, the Ghost will tell them on the spirit board.


Catch the Ghost

The better your guesses are, the more likely the Ghost will have to manifest and reveal its location. To win, you have to catch the Ghost before the Ghost can tell you...

Each Ghost Hunter is playing for themselves and trying to be the Ghost Hunter to capture the Ghost.

On their turn, Ghost Hunters may, instead of moving, pass a query card to the Ghost. Each Query card asks a question about the Ghost’s current location. The Ghost must communicate to answer the question using the planchette and the Yes and No spaces on the Spirit Board.

Curse cards are used by the Ghost to burden the Ghost Hunters or give the Ghost an advantage.
