"The Age of Steam has created a new type of hero: the Steam Toad! It is the Toads who display a fearless demeanor, Toads who boldly hop where no Toad has hopped before, who take to the land, sky and sea in the name of exploration and adventure that claim this title and leap their way into legend.

Recently, an edict has gone out declaring a great race. In fact, the greatest race that has yet been and the first of its kind. This race will take brave Toads around the circumference of the entire world relying only on their own ingenuity, cunning, and skill.

No true Steam Toad can turn down a challenge of this enormity. As a result, Toads from every corner of the Pond have turned out to compete in the Great Race; and only one can claim the prize and illustrious title of The Master Globe Hopper.

In Steam Toads: Globe Hoppers, players race to build steam machines that allow them to be the first to circle the globe.

The things that make this game unique:
- It takes place in the Steam Toad universe...and what can beat toads in vehicles?
- The race doesn't happen in a silo. Players interact by trading parts, stealing, sabotaging others vehicles and augmenting their own.
- In Globe Hoppers, you actually get to build the vehicles on your player mat. Each machine is found on a blueprint and you must use physical parts to prep the machine for Activation!
