A fun way to learn and practice key English grammar structures. Loosely based on the popular card game Crazy Eights. Perfect for English academies or individual one on one lessons. The object of the game is to get rid of all your cards by matching either the subject pronoun or the noun of the card in play. When a player is down to a single card they must declare "last card" before an opponent does. Upon playing a card you must say the sentence, using an agreed upon grammar point. In addition to verb cards with pronouns, there are sofa cards, which prompt the players to use negative sentences, and a variety of other cards that make the play fun and interesting A player may challenge another player's sentence, and consult either the teacher or the included instruction booklet. If the challenger is correct, the opponent must draw three cards. If they are incorrect, the challenger must draw three cards. A teacher may handicap themselves by not being allowed to declare "last card." This will likely result in them losing, but the point is to let English learners have fun practicing conjugating verbs!
