Description

The Quick and the Undead is a poker infused, card placement, hand management, and dice game set in the backdrop of a quick draw contest in the old west. Oh yeah, and when you eliminate a player he comes back as a zombie. At that point, the game turns into Gunslingers vs Zombies.

The gunslingers are protecting the last seven bastions of hope. Should these bastions fall, the zombies win. If you are the last gunslinger left standing and you survive one final round of zombie attack, then you are the winner. You take the purse and head out of town!

Gameplay Basics

Players are dealt a hand of 10 poker cards. Using these poker cards, players may spend them in locations (assuming they haven't been overrun by zombies) to buy weapons, learn important skills, or better defend the locations. In the next phase, poker cards are again used, but this time as pure brute strength to defend locations against a horde of zombies. Then finally, poker cards are used in a poker game to determine who will duel in the quickdraw contest. That's when the game takes a turn as it's player vs player in a poker based dice mini-game. The winner gets a reward and the loser becomes a zombie, joining the ranks of the undead horde.
