TRUMP THE LOSER CARD GAME Number of Players: 1-8 Ages: 7+ Time: 5-60 Minutes (depending upon the number of players). The Object of the Game: Trump the Loser is a strategic game of chance where players take turns picking cards and try to eliminate each other from the game. The object of the game is to be the last surviving player. The player who draws a Loser Card, but doesn’t have a Trump the Loser card or a Stop the Loser card in their hand is eliminated from the game until only one player remains. Game Play: The dealer deals three cards to each player face up on the table. The first player picks a card and places it face up with the other cards on the table. The player chooses a card to play then discards it, face up, next to the main deck. Each proceeding player then draws a card, chooses which card to play and then discards the card. Note: If a player runs out of cards the player is still in the game! No one is out of the game until they have officially drawn a Loser or Big Loser card and do not have a Trump the Loser card or Stop the Loser card in their hand to counter it. Loser Card: Players who draw a Loser card must immediately use a Trump the Loser card or Stop the Loser card to stay in the game. If the player does not have a Trump the Loser card or a Stop the loser card, the player is out of the game and the player’s cards are placed in the discarded card pile. But the player can still assist other players. If a player has a Trump the Loser card and a Stop the Loser card and draws a Loser card, the player must use the Trump the Loser card first. If a player draws the Loser card during a challenge to pick cards, the player must Trump or Stop the Loser card immediately, or else the player is out of the game. Only the Super Trump card can stop the Big Loser card. If a player draws a Big Loser card but has a Trump the Loser or Stop the Loser card, the player is still out of the game. Stop the Loser Card: A player can use a Stop the Loser card to keep a Loser card, but needs a Ditch the Loser card to get rid of the Loser card. Ditch the Loser Card: The Ditch the Loser card cannot be used to discard or hold a Loser card alone. It must be combined with the Stop the Loser card. Once a player with a Loser card and a Stop the Loser card obtains a Ditch the Loser card, the player can put the Loser card, the Stop the Loser card and Ditch the Loser card together on the discard pile. A player cannot take a Stop the Loser card that is connected to a Loser card in another player’s hand. Reject Card: A player with a Reject card can only use the card to stop another player’s challenge. The card cannot be used to stop or reject a Loser card. Peek & Pick: The player who chooses the Peek & Pick card draws three random cards from the deck, selects one, then inserts the other two back into the deck. Insert/Discard This Card: Discard This Card and Insert a Card forces a player to insert a card back into the deck. The card can be used to insert any card except for a Loser card. Shuffle Card: If a player chooses to shuffle the deck, the player gathers the discarded cards and mixes them together and is not required to pick a card. Do Nothing Card: The Do Nothing card allows a player to skip a turn.
