Description
Undocumented: Journey to the American Dream is a tabletop experience, aiming to simulate the decisions and experiences undocumented migrants confront while traveling through Mexico to reach the United States of America.
Through this experience-based format, participants adopt the role of a migrant and gain a better understanding of the struggles they face before, during, and after their journey. Each Character is given a name, a face, and a story to help bring them to life and humanize their experiences.
This game can be adapted for use in any instance of refugee or other undocumented movement. It can also highlight, at a personal level, the importance of empathy and understanding, as well as the dangers that displaced persons face on a daily basis.
