Inspired by classic dungeon-crawling games like Dungeon! and Hero Quest and combined with modern day battle-royale games like Apex Legends, Viva La Dungeon is a light-hearted yet strategic Player-vs-Player game where everyone struggles against the rapidly shrinking and chaotic dungeon but only one will survive.

Viva La Dungeon uses a D20 game system with gameplay similar to modern table-top roleplaying games. Players will roll "checks" with a D20 to determine success in their actions, and other types of dice to deal damage.

Players receive one of ten unique characters with their own strengths and weaknesses to take into the dungeon, and three avatar cards and standees matching that character.

In the first round each Player takes a turn placing all of their tokens on the board in different rooms. Then, using the avatar cards, they place them facedown on their player mat, indicating secretly which token on the board is their "active" token. Your active token is where you really are.

On your turn you may move and take an action. When Moving, you may move one or more of your tokens to adjacent rooms, then roll a Movement Perception check. Success of this check determines whether you have a Random Encounter or get to Peek at all the tokens in one of the rooms you have a token.

You may take an action or move in any order. The actions available to you include: Looting a chest, Hiding, Starting a Fight, Taking a Shot or Pickpocketing.

Use your personal pool of Kaos to perform even more actions on your turn, or even increase a die roll for a check!

At the end of each turn, draw a Dungeon Bomb that can help or hinder you or all players.

Over time the green jelly cubes will move into rooms, making the dungeon even more dangerous until there is only one safe room left. Once all players are in that room, the Grand Melee begins.

Last person standing wins!
