Description

In WRESTLEGACY, you are part of the wild world of Sports Entertainment. This game changes over time, with new wrestlers, events, and rules emerging. Certain events will allow players to open new components to the game, change the rules, and eventually rule the wrestling world.

Players will play WRESTLEGACY roughly fifteen games, building rivalries, winning championships, and sports entertaining millions and millions of fans around the world.

Over time, championships emerge. Whoever holds a championship is bound to draw a larger crowd and higher paychecks. Championships may be won or lost, and can be hotly contested.

Promoters carve our wrestling territories -- which allows players to draw additional income from others’ matches. Watch out, though, if a territory’s champion loses to another, it will go out of business!

Wrestling’s popularity is unquestioned, which allows players to face off in smaller venues managed by territory bosses. Without care, local wrestlers may “kill the town” and territory profitability.

As the regional championships unify and wrestling territories fade, super events begin to dot the calendar. Each event builds to the annual special event: the Colossal Tussle!

This is the final iteration of a long project. Previous iterations of this game have been displayed at protospiels throughout the Midwest, playtested by friends in Oklahoma, and polished with feedback from friends, enemies, and frenemies.

The legacy version of this game is the summative experience. After the legacy game is complete, the game can still be played over time. WRESTLEGACY was originally designed to be a short Eurogame that devolves into an Ameritrash ride. Just like pro wrestling.

I hope that you enjoy.

Feedback from Protospiel playtesters:

"I don't like combat games. I don't allow wrestling in my house. I don't like dice rolling games. I would buy this game."

"What if you turn this into a legacy game? I mean, you shouldn't. But what if?"

"I can't believe that Admiral America lost to Vladimir Pinkoslav again!"
