In this newsletter, we'll cover our current game design contest, our upcoming Crafter Con and Protospiel Madison events, and a new pack of TGC Follies. Let's go!
Our current community game design contest is the Dice Mitigation Challenge.
For the Dice Mitigation Challenge, you'll design a game with any theme and any set of components you wish, but the dice must be an integral part of the game. The contest submission period ends November 6, 2023.
This contest will be judged by Aaron Kempkes, a game designer who’s been a finalist eleven times in national and international contests.
Crafter Con is The Game Crafter’s very own game design convention in Madison, Wisconsin and it happens the day before Protospiel Madison on Thursday, November 30th.
The focus is on education to make you a better game designer. It features seminars and workshops with industry experts, as well as a play testing room where you can work on games with other designers. Check out the awesome speakers and topics below!

We offer single day badges to Crafter Con or bundle tickets that get you into both Crafter Con and Protospiel Madison. (Protospiel Madison starts after Crafter Con and runs for 3 full days.)

Protospiel Madison is another great Protospiel event where amateur & established game designers get together to test and promote game prototypes in a supportive, collaborative environment. This casual event is based on sharing experiences and insight toward a goal of making the best games.

Protospiel Madison is hosted by The Game Crafter in Madison, Wisconsin on December 1-3. As with all protospiel events, we are providing attendees with a smorgasbord of free blank components and game pieces.
