These custom cards are fully compatible with the core RISK rules and are designed to enhance immersion, asymmetry, and replayability without unbalancing the game.
How to Use Faction Player Cards At the start of the game, each player selects or is randomly assigned one of the five PMCs:
Give each player the matching Faction Player Card.
Players may use their:
Faction Trait: Once per turn (reset each new turn), as described on the card. These are minor effects that enhance strategy but don’t break balance.
Commander Ability: Once per game. Use it wisely—it’s a one-time power move.
Use a small token or rotated card to track usage of the once-per-game ability.
All other RISK rules remain unchanged.
