Merchants & Buccaneers tests the ability to exploit various bonus and victory conditions to find the most profitable trade routes and be the first player to complete their victory missions, amass a fortune, return to their home shipyard and claim victory.

Key strategic decisions involve whether to exploit land or sea routes, invest in wagons or ships and whether to trade in silk,minerals, gold or diamonds. Players must overcome pirates and buccaneers, encounter storms, avoid embargoes and blockades and trade the black market and can even battle each other to gain precious resources.

Merchants & Pirates is a unique game inspired by traditional board games, which can be enjoyed best as a 2 player head to head game and also for 3 or 4 players. It can be enjoyed by both casual and more advanced gamers alike.
