Welcome to the Beggar's Edition of 666. In this version you only get the two books, the cards and dice. There is no box included in this version and no golde - use whatever you want.
The Synopsis and Gameplay
A priest has summoned The Hound to the small village of Barrowh. Three newborns have gone missing from their beds and the villagers fear witchcraft. You are a member of The Guild of the Hound, an organisation that trains young orphans as detective assassins known as Hounds. There is a strange bond between Hounds and their Guildmasters, a sixth sense known as "the knack of knowing". With this knack you must guide your Hound through a series of quests to unlock the secret of unravelling darkness from the light.
This unique game is designed for solo Hounds and Guildmasters, or groups of such, to navigate four chapters' worth of intricately entwined narrative, each implementing a differing roleplaying game mechanic. The first chapter is a mystery. The next is a dungeon dive followed by a choose your own adventure, and culminating in a classic war game.
I hope you enjoy playing this as much as I have enjoyed imagining it all up.
