Mammal – Use any ability of your choice.
Crunchy (Arthropod, Sea Urchin, etc…) – Discard all of 1 type of card, down to a minimum of 2 cards left in your hand.
Squishy (Jellyfish, Cephalopods, etc…) – You may trade hands with another player.
Bird – Every card played is discarded and you can discard an extra card.
The Goal of the Game
Run out of cards first. The game ends when someone runs out of cards.
Setup
Shuffle all the cards and deal out 7 to each player.
The rest of the cards constitute the deck.
Gameplay
Every player plays a card face-down choosing whether it’s right-side up or upside down. Once a card has been put down it can’t be changed.
Every card is flipped over, if there is only one card played on the black side, then it wins*, along with the card with the lowest number, and then greatest depth wins*. (Number being more important than depth). If this is a tie, then the 2nd best card wins, if there is no second-best card, or if all tie, then every card that tied is discarded, and another is drawn.
If you win right-side up you discard your card and fulfill your ability.
If you win upside down you discard your card.
If you lose you may discard that card and draw a new one, or keep that card.
Continue play in like manner until someone has run out of cards.
Go Fish, except you can challenge those who seek your cards. You are trying to get matches of 4 cards of the same type.
The type refers to the category of animal as classified by this game. The types are: Shark, Fish, Mammal, Bird, Squishy(jellyfish icon), and Crunchy(crab icon).
Setup
Shuffle all the cards and deal 7 to every player. For every player 5 undealt cards are added to the deck. The remainder are not in the game.
Gameplay
Starting with the player to the left of the dealer, players (A) take turns asking another (B) for a type of card. If they (B) don't have a card they (A) can draw a card from the deck. If they (B) have what is being asked for, they (B) can choose to challenge or accept the request, if they (B) accept the request, they (B) must give all their cards of that type to the player (A). If they (B) challenge the request then both players play a card, and if player (A) wins then they get their request fulfilled and a match from (B), else if (B) wins, then no cards are exchanged.
If at any time you have fewer than 7 cards, draw up to 7. Challenges
Both players (A&B from before) reveal a card at the same time, oriented in the direction they choose. If both are played with the same orientation then A wins, else if different, then B wins.
Game End
The game ends once the deck runs out. The player with the most matches wins.
I am in the process of changing the layout of the cards:
