The rivers and seas of Mars are rapidly drying up. The atmosphere is growing thinner and the temperatures are plummeting. As leader of your dwindling civilization you must find a way for your people to survive on the dying planet of Mars

Overview

Each player represents a leader of one of the remaining races of ancient Mars. They will struggle to maintain the morale of their populace, while helping to keep the planet survivable for as long as possible. Players will also need to maintain control of lands to provide food, water and other resources—a task which may require force. Players will take turns placing multi-use cards on action spaces. The action space chosen will determine which part of the player’s card is activated. As the game progresses, players will expand their influence to gain more powerful actions, develop technologies to help combat the planet’s condition, gather resources to help keep their populace happy, and train armies to maintain their lands and resources.

Variable Player Powers

Play as one of four ancient races of Mars each with a unique ability, allowing for various approaches to victory.

Gameplay

Each round consists of 5 phases.

Solo Variant

In the solo variant the temperature and oxygen levels will decrease more quickly. This shifts the focus of the game to survival. Can you keep your people alive and content for 12 rounds, while still trying to research and slow oxygen depletion?

More Informaiton

This compact game comes in a small stout box, and consists of 54 poker sized cards, 6 jumbo sized cards, and a handful of dice and cubes along with a medium booklet. Be sure to check out the electronic version of the rulebook.

Player's can conquer regions on the map to boost their production of iron and water. This also helps to keep the global temperatures up which will prevent morale penalties.

Player's can build oxygen factories to help keep the oxygen levels up, which in turn increases their food production. Technologies can be researched to offer various advantages.
