The war had ended, and I was supposed to put this all behind me...
We were all ordered to pick up the pieces of our broken nation and move on from this terrible affair. But no sooner had I returned home that I received a disturbing invitation. I learned that there are still those intent on reigniting the flames of succession. As a soldier who performed admirably for our cause, they see me as an ally. But as a God-fearing man, witnessing Divine Providence intercede the course of our lost cause, I am their enemy. I will not let this league carry out their misguided plans. I am arriving to Washington DC this afternoon with the intention of stopping them. I only pray I can do so...

Step into history and alter fate on April 14th, 1865. Will you foil John Wilkes Booth's treacherous plans, or will President Lincoln's life be tragically cut short?
Embark on a thrilling roll-and-write spy adventure, armed only with a marker and a die. As a double agent, your mission is clear: infiltrate Booth's nefarious circle of conspirators and prevent the assassination of President Lincoln. To do that you'll need to make contact at a safe house, perform missions to prove yourself and then finally rendezvous with Booth.
Here's just a sample of the 12 different missions you may encounter:
Utilize your die not just for missions, but also to traverse the streets of historic Washington, D.C. With each roll, chart your course and mark your progress. Beware—every second visit to the same building draws unwanted attention. Roll the die to unveil the consequences: lost time, police apprehensions, or suspicions from Booth's crew.
Plot your paths carefully: avoid impediments, seek rerolls and steal treasures to aid your mission. Adapt if your cover is compromised, transitioning to a solo pursuit of Booth.
Will you outmaneuver obstacles and seize the opportunity to rewrite history, or will Booth's machinations succeed?

Embark on your spy adventure as a double agent, documenting each thrilling event to share with others.
In my last game, I made contact with a conspirator at the gaming hall and successfully delivered parcels without impediments. Then while keeping a lookout, I narrowly avoided blowing my cover and seized several opportunities to steal pocket watches and an alley key. Canvassing 8th Street earned me a reroll, boosting my confidence for the rendezvous with Booth. Yet, fate had other plans - my cover was blown, plunging me into a challenging turn of events. The only time I seemed to roll a 1 (that I needed) was when determing what impediment I faced. As a result, the hours just kept slipping by... Despite attempts to evade the police my mission ended in a cell. President Lincoln's fate was sealed, leaving history repeated itself.

Movement is determined by rolling a die, with limitations on the number of spaces and directions you can move.
Impediments occur when landing on a building an even number of times. Impediments include the passage of time, police apprehension, or blowing your cover.
