The Hebrew month of Elul is traditionally a time of preparation, introspection, and return (teshuvah) leading up to Rosh Hashanah.

The prophets repeatedly connect teshuvah with social justice, so Elul becomes a time to ask not only “How have I behaved?” but also “How have I used my power?”.

Inspired by Isaiah 1:17 and Amos 5:24, we’ve crafted this daily Elul practice to frame the month as a time to align justice work with spiritual integrity and to, in 5-10 minutes, gently deepen awareness rather than attempting dramatic change all at once.
