Description

Created by a professional linguistic engineer, this game is perfect for the language lover and the language learner alike. Although the physical gameplay is as easy as completing challenges and moving pieces, the plot and game mechanics are of biblical proportions:

It is four thousand years ago and the universal language of man has just been confused into many. People united by common languages are beginning to spread out from Babel, but a small group of friends who have no common language to communicate with realize the wealth abandoned in the city. Through a silent understanding made possible by their deep bond of friendship—alongside a few awkward stares and some frantic gesturing—they unanimously decide to go against the crowd and make the perilous journey back to Babel. They are especially interested in going to the city’s center where a treasure trove is rumored to have been left unguarded atop the great tower. They refuse to let anything get in the way of their friendship, even a language barrier…unless of course at some point that thing is gold. They need a new language to survive the journey, and they are determined to make one.

You and your friends must work together to get to the tower, but there is only enough room for one at its top! To advance you must complete challenges, to complete challenges you must be able to communicate, but to be able to communicate you have to create an entirely new language. May the babbling begin!

If anyone in your party is struggling to come up with new words, they may find the following online tools helpful: wordconstructor.com, feldarkrealms.com/words, fakeword.com .
