BLACK DEATH: BOHEMIA 1380

BLACK DEATH: BOHEMIA 1380 is a rules-ultra-lite, one-poker-card RPG you can play either solo or with a group of up to 5 players (4 characters + 1 GM). You only need to print the card and find one twenty-sided die to play. Playable in under an hour.

The game is based on a historical publication about the town of Kolin I read recently. The game contains one short scenario - your group of desperate refugees flee the plague-stricken town of Kolin and travel to the Royal town of Kuttenberg to seek safety (both are real towns located in today's Czech Republic).

The game is intentionally deadly and unfair, just like 14th-century Bohemia was - dying is not only an option, it borders with certainty. Although Mork Borg was not a direct inspiration, the tone is somewhat similar, dark, and almost hopeless - again, the game is based on real historical events, not idealized fairylands.
