Blast Tactics

Light the fuse. Outsmart your friends. Be the last Blastroid standing.

In Blast Tactics, you control a Blastroid, a battle-ready robot, in a tile-based arena full of ticking bombs. Lay timed Bombs, dodge incoming blasts, and blow up blocks to uncover upgrades. Then trap, outsmart or escape your rivals. The last surviving Blastroid wins.

Why you'll love it

Tick, tock, boom. Every Bomb you lay is flipped on your next turn and goes off the turn after. Your own Bombs detonate before you get to move, so you have to plan ahead. Use your opponents' Bombs as the trigger for a chain reaction they can't escape.

Move like a rook. Each Move sends you in a straight line as far as you can go. You get two Moves a turn, and every one counts. Spend them to run, lay Bombs, or buy Ability Cards.

Upgrade as you blast. Destroy Blastable Blocks to reveal Items:

• Bomb-Up lets you carry more Bombs, up to five.
• Flame-Max extends your blast as far as it can reach.
• Speed-Up gives you an extra Move.

Dirty tricks. Buy face-up Ability Cards to turn the game around:

• Bomb Push and Bomb Roll shove or roll Bombs around the arena.
• Bomb Cannon carries a Bomb on your head and launches it.
• Remote Detonate sets off your own Bomb early.
• Phase Shift lets you pass through Bombs and blocks.

The arena closes in. Hidden in the deck is the OVERTIME! card. Once it's drawn, the arena tiles start flipping from the outside in. The game can't stall, and it always ends in a showdown.

Take a hit, get faster. Your Heart Token is your health. The first hit flips it and gives you a permanent extra Move, but a second hit eliminates you.

Endless replay value

Blast Tactics has several ways to play, all in the box:

• Battle Royale the standard battle to the end elimination mode.
• Revenge Mode: eliminated players lob Bombs from the arena edge. If one of those Bombs damages another player, you take over that Blastroid.
• Teams Mode: play collaboratively against the other team.
• Capture-the-Core: steal rival Cores and bring them back to yours.
• Glitch Card: a cursed card that gets passed around when Blastroids cross paths.
• Special Arena Tiles: Teleport Pads, Power-Up Pads, Fans, Bottomless Pits, Cracked Turf, Conveyor Belts, Lava, Ice and Trampolines let you build a new arena every game.
• Solo/Co-op Mode: take on the Shraplings, sentient rock bombs with arms and faces that hate Blastroids and want to blow you to pieces.
