Description

Try this out on Tabletop Simulator!

Please keep in mind that this is a prototype and will change before final release. WE NEED TESTERS!

Are you ready for a fast paced race to the finish?

Engage your inner speed demon or compete with friends and family to be the first to cross the finish line, win the race by reducing your hand to zero. First to play the finish card wins the heat!

GOAL

Beat out the competition by playing your hand until empty. First to play the finish card wins the heat!

In a single player game, the goal is to get rid of all your cards as fast as possible. Count the amount of cards laid down in both discard piles at the end of the game, the lower the count the better.

Crashing can only occur when a loose runner card is played and the Finish card is randomly pulled from you or your competitors hand.

RULES

Each player starts the game by selecting a matching Start (PUSH) and Finish Card. Shuffle the deck and distribute 7 Cards to each player face down. Throw the Start Cards in an individual pile and shuffle, pick the top start card and decide who begins the race first, the game then rotates clockwise. You should have 8 Cards in your hand, the 7 dealt plus the finish line card in your color, do not show your hand to other competitors.

You can play doubles where your partner plays every other turn. Broken Pulley / Axle Snap effects you both.

There are two different types of cards, the Track Cards which feature straights, left or right turns, and the Action Cards, which are used to give you an advantage and disrupt your opponent.

You will discard to two separate piles, one for action cards and one for track cards. When the deck is depleted, simply save the top two discard cards from both piles and shuffle the rest of the discarded cards back into the deck. If you cannot or do not want to play any card in your hand during your turn, you must pick up a card from the deck. There is no limit to how many cards you may have in your hand.

Play only card per turn. The exceptions are the track cards, you may play two straights, left or right turns.

Left turns can only be followed with a straight or another left, same with the right. The straight track can lead into another straight, a left or right turn.

Action Cards: The red back cards are considered stop cards that you play against competitors during your turn, the yellow cards are considered interrupts that you can play both in and out of your turn. The green cards are considered bonuses that you can play on yourself or your opponent. Broken Pulley and Axle Snap are perminant.

To win you will need two cards in your hand, a single track card and the finish card. Only with that combination will you be able to cross the finish line! If - for example - you hold two left turn tracks and a finish card, you would need to place one of the left turn cards in order to place the second left turn and finish card in the following turn in order to win.
