is a unique social deduction game. The game deck is placed in a different room from the rest of the players. On your turn you choose someone to accompany you to the other room as you take an action to manipulate the deck with your personal item cards. Only the spectator sees what action you took. Bombers want there to be an active bomb in the deck at the end of the game. They are willing to lie, cheat, and steal from other players to make it happen. The good guys need to determine who amongst them are bombers and before the bomb detonates.
The Game is "played" in a completely different room than the rest of the players. Only two players will be able to be in the room with the game deck at a time. The other players can use this time to plan how to avoid a bomb being planted in the deck using defuser item cards (Or when and how to plant a bomb if they are a bomber). Bombers Away! uses multiple rooms to obscure information between players. Only the player taking the action and the spectator chosen by that player know truly what happened. If you are the spectator and you know for sure that the active player is the bomber, you'll have to convince the others. Likewise bomber spectators can accuse good guy players of planting bombs into the deck. It is up to the players to debate and decide who to trust.
No two games are the same as the two item cards you receive and the player order and roles are random.
As a bomber do you attempt to steal the precious defuser item cards so that the good guys are powerless to defuse bombs?
Do you try and disarm the police so that bombers can scheme out in the open?
Do you try and find your bomber buddies so that you can enter the other room and scheme in secret?
Of course no matter how you play, just make sure there's an active bomb in the deck once everyone has had a turn.
There are three types of item cards in the game and three types of role cards all packaged in a nice box. There is also an instruction booklet which can be used as a player reference to remind players of the different actions. Feel free to place this in the other room.
Items - Bomb - Its a bomb, unless you're a bomber you probably don't want this in the deck. - Defuser - Deactivates any Bomb's directly adjacent to this card in the deck. - Gold - Does nothing but look pretty. Can sometimes get in the way of your defusers however.
Roles - Good Guy - You're on the good guy team. Congrats. - Police - On the good guy team, you have the job of choosing who you think the bombers are at the end of the game, just make sure your gun doesn't get taken. - Bombers - For some strange reason you want there to be an active bomb in the deck at the end of the game.
